Yoga

The practice of yoga involves uniting your breath with your body as you gently stretch into a pose (asana). Y
ou do not need to be flexible to benefit from yoga. The practice benefits you by lengthening tight muscles, deepening
the breath and bringing oxygen to the tissues. Slowly, easily, the body will open, the mind will quiet down, and the spirit
of health will grow.
Ready to stretch? Ready to breathe? Not sure about the headstand?
One of these classes may be right for you.
Ease into Yoga: Designed for people who need a gentle introduction into the
art
of stretching. The slow pace of this class brings focus to
individual
capabilities and challenges. Each participant works
within the
limits of his/her own body. In this atmosphere, even
the reluctant can learn to relax while stretching.
Beginning Yoga: Designed for people who are new to yoga, renewing their
yoga practice after a pause and those who have moved
through "Ease into Yoga". The gentle pace now focuses on
extending each individual's abilities and refining form. More
challenging
poses (asanas) are practiced. As always,
participants work within their own body's limitations.
